Summer Reading 2026

To Sign up for our Summer Reading Program you can pick up a paper form at the circulation desk during the registration period.

Program Dates:

June 2 - July 24

Registration begins May 12 and ends May 30

Reporting begins June 2

Reading Challenge for children 2-14:

The children will be challenged to complete a reading BINGO chart. They will have the opportunity to earn up to 4 prizes: horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and black-out. If they earn the black-out their name will be entered into a drawing for one additional grand prize.

The BINGO reading challenge begins June 2 and ends July 24. All BINGO charts must be returned to the library no later than July 24th to earn prizes.

Summer Reading Activities:

Activities for children ages 7-14 will occur on the first 3 Tuesdays in June at 10:00 am.

  • On Tuesdays, June 2, June 9, and June 16: We will have activities that includes a presenter and a craft.

Activities for children ages 2-6 will occur on the first 3 Fridays in June at 10:00 am.

  • On Fridays, June 5, June 12, and June 19: We will read a dinosaur themed book and do a craft or activity.

There will be a snack provided at each activity.

Family Day is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 29 at the Greenfield City Pool.

Happy McReader Program

The library will also be collaborating with a local McDonald's to offer the Happy McReader Program this summer! Beginning June 8th, for every 10 books the children read they can earn a free Happy Meal.
