The Dade County Library is Fine Free

In February the library decided to join the list of many other public libraries in Missouri (I think there are about 47 at this time) by going fine free.

This means that if you return an item in the shape it was in when it was checked out then you won't owe any money if even if it was returned after it's due date. 

We want to encourage our patrons to use our library and enjoy what we have to offer without having to worry about getting items back on a strict schedule.

It items are damaged or lost there will still be replacement fees. And, having overdue items will still affect your ability to access our digital collection in Libby and Hoopla.
