Dade County Library Receives Wildflower Garden Grant The Dade County Library has been awarded a grant from the Missouri Prairie Foundation. These funds will be used to establish a native wildflower garden located on the newly established Library Commons. This project will integrate native landscaping into a community space. It is an opportunity to showcase the possibilities of sustainable garden practices and the beauty found in our local Tallgrass prairies, once so abundant in Dade County. The Missouri Prairie Foundation is a private, nonprofit prairie conservation organization and land trust. The Missouri Prairie Foundation owns and manages several original, unplowed prairies in Dade County that are open to the public to enjoy on foot.
